Passport Fee Changes
Effective February 1, 2008

Question- Mr. & Mrs Smith and their children Jim (Age 17) and Betty (Age 5) would like to apply for Passport Cards. How much should the Acceptance Agent charge the family?
- Determine how many adults age 16 and over (3) and how many children age 15 and under (1).
- Locate the number of adults in the top row, and the number of children in the left hand column.
- Trace the correct row and column until your fingers meet in one box.
- Add the Department of State (DOS)and Acceptance Facilty (AF) numbers together for total amount.
Answer -The Acceptance Agent should charge the Smith family $170 in total fees ($70 to DOS and $100 to AF).
